Barbara Dell Blink, of Antigo, died Friday, April 13, 2012 at Eastview Medical and Rehabilitation Center. She was 77 years old. She was born on July 4, 1934 in Racine, a daughter of Henry and Beulah (Fritchen) Zeihen. She married Donald Blink in 1957, the couple later divorced.
She was a graduate of St. Mary's Springs High School and received a Bachelors Degree from St. Norbert College. She was a medical technologist at the Medical Building here in Antigo for a number of years. She then moved to Appleton to be closer to her family.
She served on St. Hyacinth Grade School's board of education and was active as a volunteer for the Red Cross, the Antigo Music Association and was a Cub Scout den mother and a Brownie leader.
She enjoyed gardening and prized her roses above all others. She also passed time with crocheting, needle work, painting and golf.
Survivors include a daughter, Julie (Patrick) Brady, St. Charles, IL; three sons, Jeffrey Blink, Green Bay, Brian (Laurie) Blink, Antigo, and David Blink, Little Chute; seven grandchildren, Andrew and Thomas Blink, Janie Blink, Maeve, Kelly, Patrick and Grace Brady; two sisters, Jeanne (Bob) Pfister, Kaukauna and Mary (Ray) Walls, Pagosa Springs, CO; and a brother, Richard (Susan) Ziehen, Darboy.
She was preceded in death by her son, Joel Blink and her brother in infancy, Thomas Zeihen.
A funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at St. John Catholic Church with Rev. Charles Hoffmann officiating. Burial will take place in the Queen of Peace Cemetery. Visitation will be 3:30 - 8 p.m. on Tuesday and 9 - 10 a.m. on Wednesday at the Bradley Funeral Home. A parish wake service will be held on Tuesday at 4 p.m.
