Lyle Norman Klemp Sr., of Bryant, passed away peacefully at home on the morning of Wednesday, May 23, 2018. Lyle was born on November 23, 1920 in Wausau, and was 97 years of age.

Lyle was proceeded in death by his father, Carl Klemp, Sr.; his mother, Irene Wilde; three brothers; three sisters; and loving wife, Ella Klemp.

Lyle is survived by his five children, Lyle (Susan) Klemp, Jr. of Bryant, Diane Reinhart of Medford, Gary Klemp of Kiel, Allen Klemp of Menasha and Sharon Engebrecht of Wisconsin Rapids; two step-children, Roger Engel of Marshfield and Harvey (Jennifer) Sischo of Arizona; 14 grandchildren, Tina (Brock) Dal Santo of Antigo, Tanya Klemp of Antigo, Tammy Klemp of Wisconsin Rapids, Lyle Klemp III of Sheboygan, Loren (Stephanie) Klemp of Oostburg, Shane Reinhart of Medford, Todd Reinhart of Medford, Carol of Milwaukee, Kyle (Heather) Klemp of Hawaii, Kathy (Chris) of Kiel, Karry Kay of Green Bay, Paul (Jessica) Klemp of Menasha, Sarah of Menasha and David (Tia) Engebrecht of Wausau; 38 great-grandchildren, some of which include, Jackson, Ellana, Trevor, Jarrod, Sawyer, Lydia, Kaylynn, Alexandria, William, Dillion, Austin, Mandy, Dezi, Dustin, Landon, Carter, Ty, Ian, Anna, Antha, Daniel and many more. Lyle was also survived by nine great, great-grandchildren.

Lyle was born and raised in Wausau. Lyle was enlisted in the United States Army from 1941-1946 and the United States National Guard from 1946-1949. Lyle was a Corporal in the United States Army and the United States National Guard. He served as a Technician Fourth Grade 1877th Engineers Aviation Battalion in WWII. Lyle got an honorable discharge from the Army in February 7, 1946 and the National Guard on February 6, 1949.

He worked for the City of Wausau until his retirement.

Some of his hobbies included hunting, fishing, camping and spending time with his family. Lyle lived with his son, Lyle Jr. and daughter-in-law, Susan, for the last eleven years of his life. He enjoyed telling stories of the war and spending time with his great, great-granddaughter, Destini, who was the apple of his eye. He enjoyed playing with her and being best friends. Destini enjoyed helping take care of her Pa and making sure he was okay every day. He leaves behind many great memories that will continue to live on.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 29, 2018 at 11 a.m. at Four Corners Assembly of God Church in White Lake.

You have my deepest condolences in your loss of Lyle. Even though he lived a long life it never seems long enough. Death is truly an enemy to all of us and we feel it especially when we lose someone we love so much. Our loving Heavenly Father Jehovah will reunite us soon with our lost loved ones as promised in the Bible Book of Revelation in chapter 21 verses 3 and 4 the scriptures may give you comfort.
