Charlotte Conto, of Rothschild, a longtime resident of White Lake, died Saturday, February 6, 2016 at St. Clare's Hospital in Weston. She was 77 years old. She was born on December 26, 1938 in Rhinelander, the daughter of the late Doyle and Margaret (Averill) McCambridge. She married Terry Conto on November 24, 1956 in White Lake, he preceded her in death on October 17, 2002.
She was a graduate of White Lake High School class of 1956.
Charlotte was a homemaker whom later worked at the White Lake School and Robbins Inc.
She loved reading and watching old movies. She enjoyed traveling to Las Vegas and above all spending time with her family.
Survivors include three daughters, Christine (James) Anderson of Benzonia, Mich, Cheryl Rizzio and special friend, Pat Babino of Antigo, Carolyn (Joe) Whitt of Bourbonnais, Ill; a son, Tom (Cindy) Conto of White Lake; eight grandchildren, Amy Roberts, Bob (Melissa) Anderson, Becky Leatherman, Philip Rizzio, Steven (Amanda) Rizzio, Erica Conto, Kathryn (Seth) Weigand, Mitchell Whitt; 11 great-grandchildren, Stephanie, Mikeal, Mackenzie, Inara, Allyson, Carmen, Lillian, Dyllan, Austin, Summer and Jeff.
In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by a grandson, Kenneth Whitt.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at the Bradley Funeral Home with her son, Tom Conto officiating. Visitation will be Saturday from Noon until the 1:30 p.m. service at the funeral home. Burial will take place in St. James Catholic Cemetery in the spring.
