Vera C. Alft, of Avon, 96, beloved wife of the late Albert Alft died August 8, 2015.
Survivors include two daughters, Janet (Bill) Newman of Avon, CT; Nancy (John) Wagner of Kenmore, WA; son, Robert (Stephany) Alft of Pensacola, FL; 8 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; sister, Delores Korol of Mequon, WI and many nieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed by all.
The family would like to express deep gratitude to the Fresenius Dialysis Center in Newington, CT for the 3 years of tender loving care that she received, and to St. Francis Hospital for their exceptional care.
A Memorial Mass will be held on Thursday, August 13th at 10:00AM at St. Ann's Church, 289 Arch Road, Avon, CT.
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Saturday, August 22nd at St. James Catholic Church in White Lake, WI. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Saint Joseph Medical Clinic, P.O. BOX 13566, Pensacola, FL 32591 or to the USA Council of Serra International, 65 E Wacker Place Suite 802, Chicago, IL 60601.
