Good memories of going to Nicks with Betsy!! Love you and miss you HUGE Betsy!!!

A Ardie Thomas on Jan 27, 2015

I met Betsy at an Opera Buffs meeting about 25 years ago, and we started going to various musical events in Madison. She especially like the big bands that were so popular during her youth. She was so excited to see the Glenn Miller Band, under the direction of Larry O'Brien, when they came to Madison for several years. We also attended the PLATO jazz classes for several years, and she always enjoyed going to lunch before the events. I'm going to miss her phone calls, although she didn't call as often once she moved to the Capital Lakes. I was so glad she enjoyed her home there, and she was always talking of the wonderful entertainment they provided. Betsy always clipped articles for me whenever she found something she thought I would enjoy. I think that was partly her librarian training, but also her kindness towards people. I don't ever remember Betsy complaining about anything or anyone. I will miss Betsy!!
