Gerald O. "Gerry" Gau, of Elcho, died Sunday, September 14, 2014 at Langlade Hospital under the care of LeRoyer Hospice. He was 70 years old. He was born on February 9, 1944 in Clintonville, WI.
He is survived by his wife, Rebecca; six children, Andrew (Julie) Gau, Brian (Donna) Gau, Carla (Bradley) Wallenfang, Debra Gau, Ernest Gau and Frances (Paul) Eighmy; fourteen grandchildren, Tyler, Travis, Trisha and Tara Gau, Quinton and Elena Wallenfang, Ian and Aila Arndorfer, Anna and Madeline Gau, Jacob, Kaleb, Lauren and Joshua Eighmy.
A private family service will be held. Bradley Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

My favorite memory of my cousin Gerry, was when he was visiting my parents home of Oscar and Alma Gau, Gerry and I (Shirley Gau Iczkowski) would play Roy Rogers and Dale Evans and each had our little toy guns, and of cours I was Dale and I would fall like in the series, and call for Roy to help me and Gerry would say, "Get up yourself." We had good times then.
